From first starting her business in 1992, when Emma Duggan was just 18, Fakenham & District Funeral Services has established itself as an independent family run business that specialises in helping to guide clients through what can be the most distressing period of their lives.
“When I came into this business, I had no pre-conceived idea as to what was right or wrong, expected or tradition, so I was able to approach this in a fresh, untainted way. The emphasis is one of individuality and people are more often beginning to have ideas of their own when it comes to life, death and how this should be acknowledged, celebrated and mourned.”
In 2012 Beau Elliott joined Fakenham & District Funeral Services and in early 2014 achieved her Diploma in Funeral Arranging and is now, very much a key member of the team.
“I had always wanted to be a Funeral Director from as early as I can remember, and throughout my later school life, this was the career I wanted to pursue. I have always felt that my strengths are in helping others at times when help is most needed.”
Based in Weasenham St. Peter, located in the old village Manor Farm House, outside Fakenham, we are able to offer private Chapel of rest and viewing facilities by appointment within the friendly and warm atmosphere of a family home.
Our emergency call out service is available 24 hours a day to look after the immediate needs of clients experiencing a bereavement. From the first phone call through to the funeral and beyond, it is our aim to provide a personal approach, understanding and commitment.
Our care of the deceased, support of those bereaved and ability to deliver an excellent service are vital as, for every funeral, there is only one opportunity to get it right. This approach has proved over the years to be extremely beneficial to a great many clients and we look forward to being able to assist many more in the future.
